Soan Chiri School of Language & Culture was established in 2022 with the goal of providing a structured and immersive Punjabi language learning experience. Our school follows the Australian curriculum for language education and integrates cultural awareness to ensure that students develop a deep connection with their heritage.
The school offers classes for students of all ages and backgrounds, focusing on reading, writing, speaking, and cultural appreciation. Through a dynamic and interactive teaching approach, we aim to make learning Punjabi engaging and meaningful.
We believe that language is more than communication—it is a bridge to our identity, history, and values. By learning Punjabi, students connect with their roots, develop bilingual proficiency, and gain a lifelong appreciation for their cultural heritage.
Our classes are designed to accommodate students at different learning levels, whether they are beginners, intermediate learners, or advanced speakers. Our dedicated team of trained educators ensures that each student progresses at their own pace in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Our mission is to provide a nurturing and immersive learning environment where students develop proficiency in the Punjabi language while deepening their connection to Punjabi culture and heritage.
We strive to preserve and promote the Punjabi language among young learners, fostering a love for their mother tongue through structured learning, interactive activities, and cultural engagement.
Through a curriculum aligned with Australian language education standards, we empower students with reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills to become confident bilingual speakers.
In our commitment to enhancing Punjabi language education, we are actively working towards obtaining SACE registration. This will enable students in Year 11 and 12 to receive formal accreditation for their Punjabi language studies, providing them with additional academic recognition and future opportunities.
Our goal is to instill a lifelong appreciation for Punjabi literature, history, and traditions, ensuring that future generations maintain their linguistic and cultural identity.
Our vision is to create a thriving learning community where students embrace their Punjabi heritage with pride and confidence. We aim to empower future generations by preserving and strengthening the Punjabi language through quality education, cultural immersion, and community engagement.
We envision a future where Punjabi remains a vibrant and integral part of our students' lives, not only as a language but as a connection to their roots, identity, and traditions. By fostering a love for Punjabi literature, music, history, and values, we strive to build a strong cultural foundation for all learners.
As we continue to grow, we aspire to expand our educational offerings and enhance the learning experience by integrating modern teaching methods and digital resources. Our goal is to provide students with opportunities for advanced language proficiency, ensuring that they can confidently communicate in Punjabi in academic, social, and professional settings.
We are committed to obtaining SACE accreditation, enabling students to formally incorporate their Punjabi language studies into their Year 11 and 12 education. This initiative will support our students in gaining academic recognition for their bilingual skills while contributing to their future academic and career pathways.
By working closely with families, educators, and the broader community, we aim to foster an environment where language and culture continue to flourish for generations to come.
